OMG SHOES

I need some help finding a good pair of ladies riding boots. Right now I alternate between my Gore-Tex hiking boots and a pair of pleather fashion boots. Both are terribly hot and sweaty. I want something comfortable, ventilated and stylish. I ride my scooter -everywhere- so something that is versatile to go with whatever I am wearing would be awesome. A little heel is nice, but these fashion boots are just too high and now the heel is starting to separate from the boot o_O I'm willing to go to $200 for a really nice pair, but cheaper is a good thing

You should really consider steel toed flootwear. Feet get mangled like you wouldn't believe in relatively simple misshaps.

I was actually considering those! I don't think they are ventilated though...but they are very sexy. They come in white too and I couldn't decide which I liked better as my getup is black, white and blue. Probably the black as it would look nicer longer with less effort.

I have those in black. Got them at a local store after I failed to find any motorcycle specific boots to fit me. (Georgia Lady Loggers)

It seems to be an oxymoron. You can have cool and no protection, or hot with great protection. You can't have cool with great protection.

During 95+ degree days, I wear mesh sneakers. During cool days I wear Gore-Tex hiking boots.

It's 95+ degrees most days here :/ I'm not really a sneaker person...

if i may piggyback your thread. i've been looking at a bike that is a bit high and am looking for mc boots with a bit of height in the sole to it. have you heard of anything?

Beck! I was sooo going to recommend you get some Harley Davidson boots but I see you have been reading my threads. I was recommended the brand by another lady rider and the quality and comfort on the pair I got is awesome! I also saw these after I got mine, they are a little bit sleeker. But they are not very well ventilated like you wanted. At the same time, any boots that I have found so far with the protection I wanted and the rubber sole I needed did not have good ventilation.

It's hard to buy boots though, and make sure you try them on before you buy. fit is VERY important, I bought a pair online and still haven't been able to sell it off yet. I spent $90 on my Harley boots.

Mine zip up the side. Don't have a steel shank, but are very comfortable and COOOL!!!! (temperature wise).

Available at your neighborhood Army/Navy Surplus store. About $60-$70.

I have a bit of an addiction to Doc Martens. I tried them on at one place, but I order them from their website. The store is located in Portland. No tax & free UPS ground shipping. They also know how to push my buttons because they send me coupons.

See examples. The bronze, below, feels like I'm wearing slippers. I don't have the red ones or black ones ... yet.

That's why I will buy from a real store if I get them online and not an Ebay seller. Though I bought my gore-tex boots from an Ebay store, he also had the size I would need if the ones I ordered weren't big enough, I talked to him before hand about exchanging if it didn't work and he was cooperative.

I wear the Oxtar Sunray boots. They're made for women's feet (not just smaller men's boots), they've been great in the rain, they're comfortable enough to wear all day (when I forgot shoes to change in to at work), and they're not bad looking. I don't know how cool they would be in your super-hot climate; they've been ok throughout August in New England which tends to be hot and humid.

Oooh I really like those black rose boots! They look really well made and got great reviews. I'm pretty enchanted with the Doc Martens page right now too, they have so many cool designs :3

If I got the white ones, they'd match my current Joe Rocket gloves

They are the only gloves in the world that fit my hands, so maybe I am best off trying to match boots to them as opposed to the other way around.

Yeah, but I'm 98% sure they won't fit me. I seriously tried on 20 pairs of gloves and was near tears before I found my Trixie gloves. I have very slender hands with freakishly long fingers. Man gloves are too big in the hands and lady gloves are too short in the fingers. Those Joe Rockets are the only comfortable things I have found.

Yeah now I am stuck between the knee high or this shorter version, hmm...

They do have a great selling blurb

Yeah, I think I'll get the short black ones now and maybe the tall white ones later. The tall ones would look awesome over skinny jeans, but the shorter are probably more comfortable and versatile.
