Nine of us did a nice ride up to Mt Lemmon and back today. This is a beautiful, twisty ride that climbs from abput 1500' to over 9000' in 29 miles. The ride down is quite exciting. My St Tropex was giving me strong suggestions to lose weight, however. It would not go over 40bph after about 8000'. It was a great time.

you'd probably want to wait until you've had the first oil change and service until you do anything too tough on the scoot. You want the rings to be seated completely before you do any extended trips like up mt. lemmonrabbitgod wrote:Man, I wish I could have gone.
Stupid wedding anniversary! Why did I even get married! Nothing good has come of this unholy union.
I was driving to San Xavier right about the same time. Which is always a fun trip.

Shhh, we can't let my scoot know that he has limitations.
On fridays I have to drive out to Ina between I10 and silverbell, then to my office at Speedway and Kolb. I did it on my scoot last time and took the long many traffic lights way so that I wouldn't have to open the throttle too much, or run at the same speed for too long. There were still a couple up hill areas where I was concerned, so I just varied the speed a bit.
I'm at 200 'miles' so I should get in for the service soon. Especially if I keep riding my scoot on Fridays. The miles will start to add up.
