So my wife loves my Buddy125. Riding is bit tricky with the passenger foot pegs, and we are both small framed, but still could use some room with the seating. So my question is, can a Buddy 125 pull a side car? If not, what are some Scooters out there that can? Not hard to find scooters, but ones you can get today. I have seen photos of the Stella pulling them, and older Vespa's, but those are what I call vintage. I was looking at the Yamaha Morphous as a second scooter, for me and wife to travel on in comfort, does anyone know if that could pull a side car?
Thanks for letting me pick your brains, you lot seem to know your stuff.

Here's somebody over at Modern Vespa, who did it with a Suzuki Burgman, it's pretty cool:

You'll end up spending quite a bit with a rig like that though. There's got to be a less expensive way to do a side car rig.

thnx lobsterman. That scooter looks pretty sweet! and the side car too! Better not let the wife see it. She may try to get me to give up the Buddy. But I know she thinks it fits my personality. I sat on a V-Star the other week, yes, I am already wanting a motorcycle, my buddy (friend) just bought a FZ6, and I am jealous. Anyway, she said it looked comical, cause I am not the biker type. But she wants to ride more with me. They need to come out with a Buddy Deluxe or something like it. 400cc with sissy bar for riders. Now that would be cool.

okay, just got back from the dealership. They had a 400cc used 06 model out there. Looks sweet! Going back on Saturday with the wife for her to sit on it, and hopefully to take for a ride. The salesman told me that 400cc was plenty. He said 80mph comfortably and 90-100 if you push it. He said 650cc was over kill. Of course, he wants me to buy, buy, buy!
I will keep you updated. Outside of the desire for more power, have the wife ride more, and the adding the side car, I am extremely reluctant to get rid of the buddy so soon. I love my buddy very much. But I don't think I can have two or afford two. But if my company moves across the bay, I live in St Pete area, there are bridges that you have to cross to get to Tampa, I am not sure my Buddy125 could handle I275 and the wind on the bridge. Anyway....
