Topcase Alternative?

My wonderful wife gave me this case (I think she bought it at Tuesday Morning?) as the elaborate "gift box" for my birthday present -- a weekend in Las Vegas with two tickets to the new Cirque du Solei/Beatles LOVE show. Yes, she's a keeper.

Anyway, we saw it sitting here in the office the other day and decided to plop it on the Buddy to see how it looked.

So (1) it doesn't hold much, (2) there's no way to lock it, and (3) it doesn't have a break light, but we kinda like the retro/touristy/Route 66 vibe it adds. I think I'll browse ebay for a vintage train case complete with retro travel stickers and see what's available.

Anyway, an alternative for those who are looking for extra storage options. All pics available here:

You can get wireless brakelight kits and slap some LEDs on there.

I love it!!! I especially like the way it works with the safari-vibe of your scooter-seat cover. Either way spells retro adventure!

Very nice! We've been on the lookout for a similar DIY top case solution... wicker baskets, various bags and cases, whatever we see on the side of the road...

At a certain point, everything I see has scooter potential of some sort.

that was clever and actually fits the Italia well (gives it that old world Italian look)
