San francisco scooter clubs

Post by pakibuddy »

I just got a Italia Buddy 07 last weekend. :) I don't even have scooter license but I fall in love after looking at buddy. My wife gave me for my birthday. Got it from SF Scooter center owner Barry. Since I don't have license he delivered to home free of charge. My friend saw it and she said she is going to get one also maybe next week. Mine is green with white tires.

I am going to take my written test this weekend. Has anyone taken a test recently? How many questions? Any other tips to help me for my test prep?

Are there any Scooter clubs, weekly rides? :?:

Congratulations.

There are many scooter clubs in San Francisco: San Francisco Scooter Girls, Secret Society, Black Sheep, not to mention all the clubs in the Bay Area.

The files section of the Yahoo Group sfscootergirls has some motorcycle practice tests, I think maybe the CA DMV website has, also.

For local rides, see the Yahoo Group sf_scooter_rides.

I don't want to dampen your enthusiasm, but, please, before joining a large group ride, get some experience and learn the etiquette of group rides. You can get some tips here: http://www.msf-usa.org/index_new.cfm?sp ... me=Library
or try other searches on the web, or there are a few group riding tips flyers in the files section of sfscootergirls Yahoo Group.

Be safe. Have fun.

Welcome to MB! :clown:

Also, before hitting the streets, I would strongly recommend getting some training- like with the MSF course. At the minimum, practice in an empty alley or quiet side street before taking on the city.

You can join SFSG!! Does not matter male or female. We have lots of helpful info posted in our Yahoo group pages. Once you join you can have access to. Also SFSG has practice days where we get together and help each other get better at different things. Example: rides and rallies practice day, riding two up, learning to ride a manual, gymkhana and many more. Practice days tend to be Saturdays. We also tend to have smaller group rides and people in the club will often go out on rides with 2 to 5 people just for fun.

FYI females are members and males are groupies. We only have a few female groupies, this is because they belong to other clubs. :)

Love to have another person join in the fun!!

But no matter what PRACTICE, PRACTICE, PRACTICE! The buddy is a very easy bike to ride and you will feel like you can do anything!! But you CAN"T, well not yet. :) So take your written test get your permit, than sign up for the motorcycle safety course. And be careful.
