Yeah, I saw a page of these elsewhere and loved em. I am such a dog person too. Even the toughest of men would cry watching the videos. Like I said on FB, if you don't cry, you are a souless shell. :D

What a great video. I watched it early today and the day kept getting better from there. What a great Friday. People should be more like dogs...

I have 1 dog and 3 cats have me

The dog is not really mine, he is my son's (that was the dog's decision, the dog was supposed to be there to help me out, but my son' holds Beau's heart--I am okay with being a distant second though because my son needs the dog more than I do).

Anyway, as a divorced parent, my kids go to visit their father every other week during the summer I do not see them for a whole week straight. I deal with it, but Beau is absolutely heartbroken when my son is not there. He knows that my son is gone and won't be back until I get home after work, let him out and then hurry him back into his crate again and leave to go get the kids. Beau hates his crate, he deals with it, but he hates it. Beau broke my heart this past summer when he started running and getting into the crate when I got home and sitting there waiting for me to close the door and go get the kids. After a while he would finally come out, look at my son's chair and then lay down on his bed

But, on the Fridays that I closed the crate and left, I swear that dog was thrilled because he knew that meant his favorite human on the planet would be there soon.

When my son lets him out of the crate, well... there are few more clear expressions of total devotion and love I have ever seen.

About cats... not pack animals like we are, but they do have their ways of showing that we matter to them.

I had a cat when my son was born and that at never got over her home being invaded by this colicky noisy creature that smelled strange. However, one day my son was very sick and I had to go to the store for some medicine. I handed my tiny baby over to my husband and left. One thing that my son loved to do was run his fingers through my hair, I don't know what it was, but that calmed him and helped him a lot. Well, I took my hair with me when iwent to the pharmacy. My husband told me that when I left, the cat hopped up onto the bed and laid down in his lap, right next to the screaming baby. My son felt something next to him and put his hand on the cat, the cat let him. This was enough to calm our son down and his tiny fingers stroked the cat's soft fur until the front door opened and mommy was home and could again take over trying to keep the kid quiet. the cat streaked by me as I was going up the stairs to find a baby reaching for something on the lap of a very thoughtful father.

Thanks for sharing that video.

I have a golden retriever too, and I remember I had to leave him with my parents for a couple months while I went on a research trip to Africa. When I came back, he reacted just like that dog did in the video.

I love dogs :)

My dog Kaylo slipped out the door tonight and ended up jumping a fence and letting himself in to a very nice woman's house through the doggie door. Imagine her surprise when a nearly 80 pound, friendly pit bull comes trotting in to her living room! Crazy dog!!
