For the two stroke engine, I assume that there is a tank for the gas and tank for the oil. What is the best 2 stroke oil? Also, does a 2 stroke engine use a regular oil filter and oil for the engine pan? If they do, what about Amsoil?

Yes, there are separate tanks for gas and oil. No, there is not an oil bath crankcase and therefore not the accompanying filter. There MAY be a filter to cleanse the oil as it leaves the tank prior to injection...I don't know for sure. If I was designing it, there would be. As for oil, I would recommend any good quality synthetic 2-stroke oil. Do NOT use 4-stroke oil. It may work for a short time, but will ultimately destroy your engine.

I use Lucas 2t racing oil in my screaming Malaguti...I have been impressed with the low carbon buildup and nice looking cyl wall I still have after using it for 12,000. $6/qt at auto parts places.
Some other guys I know like the Motul 2t.
I used SI-7 for a short time and did not like the amount of carbon buildup I got on the piston.
