A helmet is a very personal thing, but I have this helmet and it is perfect, fits like a glove. I don't think I could buy one off the internet unless I knew it fit first though. I never knew the hemlets I was wearing before where just not quite right...until I got this one.

Have to agree that buying a helmet without trying it first is risky.
Also, you'll probably be seeing lots of discounted RF-1000s over the coming months as Shoei has introduced an updated version, the RF-1100. I've owned an RF-1000 for a couple of years and it's one of my favorites, but helmet choice is pretty personal.
