A gentleman from one of the MC forums I belong to, had a terrible accident while on his bike this past summer. The end result was that he lost his right arm.

He's quite a guy and has maintained an incredibly upbeat and positive attitude about life. Even more incredible is that he plans to ride again and has started bike conversions that will allow him to do so.

He has a blog detailing, to some degree, his accident (although he doesn't have any recollection and the bike following him was too far behind to see much of anything), his outlook and progress, and how he is coping with life in general. There is also a great entry on the protective gear he wearing at the time ... this will almost certainly make you rethink some things.
