Winter Projects

Post by Lostmycage »

I know a few of you folks are crafty and all, so here's a bit of a challenge to you.

I've made a new section in the FAQ section for DYI Tools and Resources. It's only got a few things in it, but they're pretty crafty!

It's a bit small at the moment, so here's the request: Make some DIY posts to add to it. Have a neat tool or scooter maintenance idea that you're working on? Found an accessory that's not really for the Buddy, but you've made it work? Take some pictures, organize your steps, use correct(ish) punctuation (It's got to be legible!) and post it up! I'll add it (or an internal link) to the new FAQ section.

So... have at it! Go forth and create!

Incase you didn't see it in the Cold Weather thread, I posted an instructable on how to make your own heated gear. I know its not a 'tool' per-se but its cool :)

Yep, it's in there! I thought I had added that last night.

I'll be coming up with other things to throw in the FAQ soon.

Hey, are electronic circuits acceptable, or would they be considered to be beyond most DIY stuff? Working on one now.

Good implied question!

If you can make a clear enough guide that the average DIY'er can re-create it, then let's have it! If there's a risk of shock, dismemberment, spousal disownment, etc - just post a warning at the top of the guide.

You don't have to dumb it down, just make it clear.

Part numbers and/or SKU's are a good thing to include, as well as where the parts were bought from and an approximate cost and time commitment. Tools needed should definitely be included.

I'll see if I can't come up with a template later on to attach to the guide threads so there's a clear layout of what's involved in a project.

This is starting to sound like a frikin' Science Fair. Who's gonna do the silly volcano thing with vinegar and baking soda? That's a classic, right?

OK, so I didn't make a template (and probably won't anytime soon - my hands are full) but I did add a few extra new things today.
