My girlfriend just bought a Buddy 50 (of which I am incredibly jealous, of course, since we don't have enough money to get us both one) and the first time she took it for a spin, she had a hard time getting it to accelerate to 30 MPH, even though the dealer assured us it would go up to 45 MPH with no problem. She called the dealer and they thought that perhaps they had forgotten to de-restrict it, so she went to take it back and found that on her drive back, she was able to easily accelerate above 30 MPH and it has been nice and peppy since then.
Does anyone know if it's normal for the Buddy to have some acceleration problems while the engine is breaking in, or was this a total fluke?
