It was beautiful today in West Michigan! 41 degrees and sunny. I found all my gear (a miracle comparable to the good weather) and got ToughBunny out. First stop was the library to pick up One Hundred Years of Motorcycles, then out on the road to Lake Michigan. That's a common ride around here, out to the state park on the Big Lake.
I only saw one other rider, a guy on a Harley. Got the wave from him, despite riding a pink scooter and wearing a scooter skirt. (Dang that skirt makes me feel like a dork but it's warm.)
I also got to try out my heated vest for the first time too. Nice and toasty, I think it really will extend my riding season.
Oh yeah, and dh and I drove to Kalamazoo so I could visit the new Genuine dealer there, Ace's Cycle. It was a really cool shop, all scooter-oriented. And they carry Corazzo too. I tried to pry info out about the cruiser but he had nothing to tell me. But when I got home Eric had posted about the cruiser so now I'm up to speed on that.
After going scooter-less for months, I had scooter-iffic day today! I love Michigan but the winters here take their toll ........
FINALLY rode today!

I believe the appropriate response here is "amen!"chloefpuff wrote:After going scooter-less for months, I had scooter-iffic day today! I love Michigan but the winters here take their toll ........
I already took the scooter to work the last couple days, but today I rode him to the lake as well... i.e. Reeds Lake, where I parked the scoot for the 70-minute walk around it.

I too rode to work today. I got the scoot out a few days ago and have been trying to empty the tank so I can put some fresh gas in it. There are so many things to love about michigan, but having nto store the scoot for months at a time is not one of them.
