Has anyone noticed this
My scooter starts up easy when it's cold but after it warms up it's hard to start again. If I shut it off after riding it for a while, it takes 4-7 tries to restart. Has anyone had this issue?

Hmm... not 4-7 tries, but I think I know what you're talking about. When you start up in the morning it uses the charge that's left in the battery then when you only ride it a couple miles then shut it off again it hasn't had time to recharge. At least that's my theory. It would happen to me sometimes, not anymore though for some reason... I haven't ever put my battery on a charger before either. who knows.

Yes, I have this happen quite frequently. Not all the time, but often. Instant startup when cold but there seems to be some area between hot and cold where she doesn't want to start right up again. What I do is give her a bit of throttle if she doesn't start immediately. I'm going to ask the folks at JavaSpeed if they have any ideas when I bring her in for her spring tuneup.

i belive its becuase the way the auto chokes work on scooters
they are not true chokes where you cut the air off with a butter fly valve but a solinod type deal that works off of wax that is heated by your ele system
and it helps to open the throttle up as your slide is now open and you can suck more air so you are not too rich

Its not a choke or an air cutoff, its an enricher circuit that makes the mixture richer by adding fuel instead of cutting off air.jmkjr72 wrote:i belive its becuase the way the auto chokes work on scooters
