NE Wisconsin Genuine Dealer Review

Post by grambow »

I wanted to let everyone know what a great buying experience I had today at Riverside Rides in DePere, WI.
I found Riverside through the Genuine website after I was forced to locate a new Buddy dealer thanks to a bad experience at Metro Motorcycles in Menasha, WI (details upon request).
Yvonne, Joel, and Micah have a passion for the scooter lifestyle and it comes through in their excellent customer service. They were all friendly and very helpful. Yvonne and Joel took the time educate my wife and me on all our available options in the Genuine 50cc line. I was able to test drive the Buddy, Rattler, and Black Cat. Actually, I drove each of them a few times as I had a difficult time making up my mind.
Riverside Rides is definitely a one stop shop. They offer sales, service, a ton of accessories and even classes. I am looking forward to the winterizing class this fall. They are conveniently located off Hwy 41 near St Norbert College so they are quite easy to find.
I went into the store thinking I was a Buddy guy and came out a Black Cat owner. I cant wait to pick it up on Monday. As far as I know, I will be the only Black Cat owner in the Fox Valley so I am sure to get a lot of questions. You can bet I will be sending everyone to the "scooter shop" in DePere. If you would like any further info on my experience(s), let me know. Happy scooting!

My wife and also bought our Buddys from Riverside Rides. Can't say enough nice things about their shop. Keep up the good work.

You folks are lucky. We in the DC area don't have a conveniently-located Genuine dealer that's reliable. The good dealers that are closest are Moto Strada, north of Baltimore (at least an hour's car ride north of me), and Scoot Richmond, which is guess where (two hours or more south, depending on traffic). :( Coleman PowerSports, which is in the DC metro area, isn't particularly scoot-friendly, from what I understand.

Make sure you give Riverside lots of business, so they'll stick around!

I guess we are lucky. We live only about 1 mile from Riverside Rides so walking there to pickup or after dropping off a Buddy for service is no big deal. My wife and I have been meeting all sorts of people on our Buddys and we keep a few Riverside Rides buisness cards on us when we ride to hand out.

We have puchased all of our accessories from them. My rule for buying parts is "just be competitive with online resources an you will have my business". I am willing to spend a few bucks more to get it locally and they are as good or better than most online store with their prices.

I am hoping that they get a few Stellas in if/when they come back. I think I am ready for one. They have one in stock but it has a sidecar and I really don't need a sidecar.
