Buddy Business Cards?

Post by sparty »

I remember seeing some posts in either here or ModernVespa talked about making business card-size handouts (containing info such as url links to genuine scooter site and modern buddy, and info such as top-speed and mpg) that we can give out to interested parties. I did a search but didn't find anything on it.

I got asked the same questions many times (what kind is it, where did you get it, how many mpg?) so many times so I wonder if others have similar experience. I thought about making some myself, but I am not very good with designing stuff....

That would be a cool idea, I think I'll print some out on my computer for when I get those 3 questions. How fast? How efficient? and How Much?

Ah, that may have actually been me that pitched that idea on ModernVespa. It's something I've thought about doing but haven't ever gotten around to, especially since I haven't handed out all my ModernVespa cards yet. (Yes, MV has cards!)

Modern Vespa has a schwaag pack of stickers, magnets, business cards and patches all supporting and saying Modern Vespa. You contact Jess, use paypal and get your goodies.

If you guys are interested in a Modern Buddy Schwaag pack:
A. Someone needs to design the stuff.
B. Contact Jess and see if you can work something out.

If not, whomever works on the graphic design for the business cards. Paste a PDF on here or a link or something so people can print out their own cards.

Just like the T-shirt idea, it seems to me the Buddy community is growing and promoting this board and the community/raising awareness is needed.

The MV schwag packs aren't bought by members. They're sent out to those who donate money to keep MV running. This also, by association, goes towards MB as well. Hosting these sites isn't free! MV has also started sponsoring events and so on. No one maks a profit off these things.

There are a few reasons we don't have MB schwag. Most importantly, the active membership here is still much smaller than at ModernVespa. MB would need enough people to ensure we didn't lose money by printing stickers, cards and patches and not have the costs covered at the end of it all. Quantities would also be an issue because we probably wouldn't be able to make enough of these things to get some of the volume discounts.

As far as free downloads of PDFs, I think that's a great idea. I don't have time to design anything for a while, but it's on my "to do" list.

I'm imagine Genuine would be happy to send you some sales sheets, my dealer gave me a few in the pet carrier when I bought my Blur, and Genuine sent me a few more later with my warranty/roadside assistance info, with the expressed purpose of handing them out when people asked me about my Blur. If you're really proactive, you could print out the PDF from the Genuine site.

Thanks eric!

I made coffee this morning, but ran late (A bit sluggish in the am) so I rushed off to catch the bus with no coffee in me!

I forgot to mention it is all donor oriented.

Again, a pdf listed or linked so owners could download/print their own cards
I think is a great idea as well.
