Low Idle

I was chaining up my Buddy and accidentally pulled out a rubber hose with a plastic nozzle at the end out of what looks like a part of a gas tank. I inserted it back but after this happed the Idle speed got very low and the fuel consumption seems to have increased. Any idea what I pooled is a part of? Since it came out pretty easily, I thought of putting a little hose clamp on it to complement the spring wire that's there now, but could not get in to install the clamp. Also, does anyone know How to get access to the insides there? Taking off a long panel on the side did not help.

Any way you can take a a couple pictures of this hose and where it's attached? Did any gas drip or spill out of the hose? If it's the fuel pipe, the idle problem could be do to it not being properly attached or being bent or pinched at some point. These symptoms can also be caused by problems with air flow and the air filter.

Most insides are accessed directly from the sides, from underneath, or by opening the seat and lifting out the plastic storage insert.
