Hello,
Thanks for the read. This is not a fun problem to have and could really use some help.
I purchased a 160cc 59mm big bore kit for my "150cc" moped from scrappydogscooters and the tech sent me to this forum, I have an anomaly for a moped.
Here is the problem:
I tore the top end off to install my new big bore and found out that my engine has a 13mm wrist pin and not the common 15mm wrist pin. (did not measure just assumed from other forums I read) Picture here: http://img15.imageshack.us/img15/2510/connectingrod.jpg
The second problem is there are just engine numbers stamped on the case and not the engine model numbers above them. Picture of this is here: http://img40.imageshack.us/img40/4159/enginenumbers.jpg
Additionally, I have included a picture of the pistons side by side to show the huge difference in size: http://img685.imageshack.us/img685/2970/pistonse.jpg
It seems to me that the difference from a 150cc piston to 160cc is about 4mm...it looks much bigger than 4mm.
Anyone have any ideas of the following:
1) What is the Correct Big Bore Kit, and where to find it? (I have horrible compression from tearing it apart and reassembling without a honer/fresh rings)
2) If there is not a big bore kit available, where can I find wrist pin adapters to go from 13mm to 15mm? (Is this even a good idea??)
3) What is the actual size of my motor?
Additional information that might help:
Make: KAITON
Type: PSMC
CASE: LONG 18"
TIRE: 12"
Model on Bike: MC75-150
Year: 2010
Thank you for your response in advance. We just moved to Hawaii a few months ago and this is our only means of transportation to and from work.
Thanks!
Derek

Since this forum is mostly dedicated to Genuine products, it might not be the best place to obtain answers for your scooter's problems.

There are tons of folks there who are very knowledgeable about Chinese-made scooters, and who could probably answer your question in no time.
