Fatal scooter accident in KC this weekend

Scooter-pickup collision. The pickup driver and the scooter passenger only had minor injuries, but the scooter driver was killed. They are still working out details, but it was 12:30 am, so I'm guessing some combination of low visibility, driver inattention, and maybe alcohol were involved.[/url]

Damn. I always hate to hear of a fatality...Let us know what you find out...I hate to sound like an idiot, but any bets on whether the truck driver was drinking?
Speed is only a matter of money...How fast do you want to go?

Passenger and pickup driver were released. I imagine if the pickup driver had been drinking he'd have been arrested. Regardless, terrible tragedy, always sorry to hear about things like this.

always hate to see these kinds of stories. Sometimes crashes are just a series of unfortunate events that lead to tragedy :( Ride safe everybody.

Turns out that he was killed by another vehicle. After the truck and him wrecked, sending him onto the road another vehicle (which did not stop) ran over him. LEO is looking for this SUV and it's driver.

That makes more sense. I couldn't figure out how the driver could be killed but his passenger could be treated and released at the scene.
