You get what you pay for...You know that.

That being said, some of the cheap ones are okay. I have seen some of the hinges fail. Me personally. If you are going to use it ALOT? It is worth the extra cash. They will hold up longer anyway and end up costing the same. Even the "plastic" or abs they are made of is of a higher quality and far more resilient to damage and flexing.
Speed is only a matter of money...How fast do you want to go?

You don't always get what you pay for—people often spend too much for crap!

From what I've heard from owners, the Shad top cases are probably the best quality for the lowest price. Hope you like black, though!

I'll vouch for Shad. I have an SH33 which has served me well for more than 2 years so far. I paid a bit over $100, part of which was shipping. A lot of people get the SH29 which is a bit cheaper because it's smaller.

I have had my shad since March of 2010
It has held up well

I got it from scooterworks but it does not look like they sell them anymore.

Got a SHAD SH33 and it works very well. It is big but I like the roomy aspect of it.

I have a 32L New Concept (Aprilla). Really like it.

Here it is for around $70:

Comes in any color you want as long as you want black. (but it is paintable.)
