Heated Grips - Is there an interest in a tutorial?

Post by michelle_7728 »

I just installed heated grips on my Buddy...LOVE THEM! Per Ericalm's advice, I simply put the battery tender on when I get home and I'm good to go with in an hour or so. I ran mine directly to my battery...did not go through the circuitry on the Buddy.

Is there an interest in a tutorial? I took lots of pictures and started putting one together, then thought I'd check in with folks before I wasted any more time with it.

It would be along the lines of the one I did for the Gorilla alarm, except maybe even more pictures.

I'll wait to see what the interest is before I continue...

edited to clarify my first paragraph: I live 10 miles from work...so 20 mile commute. So far, all 3 days I've ridden (and had the heat 3/4 of the way up, which was plenty hot for me!), I of course turn them off (and switch them off under the seat when I get to work). I also have the Gorilla alarm, so that has been on drawing a little current during the day.

Anyhow, when I have come out to leave, the scooter has started right up with no hesitation all 3 times. I again used the grips on 3/4 heat all the way home, and put the Battery Tender on after arriving at home. About an hour or so later, if I go back down to the garage, the Battery Tender is already on "Storage" mode (meaning all charged up).

Yes! Looks like I will be riding year-round.
Southern singular is y'all
Southern plural is "all y'all"
