So I sprained my ankle a little over two weeks back, and I am waiting for secondary x-rays to find out if it is fractured as well. Mostly I am just bored out of my mind because I can't do some of the most simple things, like get in and out of the house easily because I am on crutches. The worst part is that I know that I could ride the scooter, but yet not. I am pretty adept at always leaning it to the left at stops (it is my right ankle), but there is no way for me to open the garage door and get the scooter out, and then of course there is the problem of figuring out how to take the crutches with me. That is the least of my issues though. Even if I have my husband get it out, I am always afraid of leaving it outside of our house unprotected (although he did leave the garage door open yesterday for about 3 hours)
Just felt like venting a bit.
Ps. Everyone keeps asking me if I did this on the scooter, but I had one more step than I realized in the garage and I stepped out into air with my arms full, and slammed the ground hard. I am lucky that I didn't impale myself on anything in the garage.
Somewhat scooter related

Yeah, I know. And honestly that is what will happen. I keep hearing too many ankle injury horror stories. It is making me think way too much about worst case scenario.TVB wrote:Even if you could operate the scooter without difficulty, keep in mind the risk of further injury in the event of an accident... including otherwise-harmless accidents like tipping it while putting it on the stand. Best to play it safe.
On a side note, a friend of mine who rides motorcycles (which I do as well) upon finding out immediately asked me if it was my shifting foot or my braking foot. Made me smile.
