Tornado R'alley vii in kansas city

Rode in the Back Alley Ride last night. Lots of fun, rough roads, puddles, sand, gravel, vagrants, and a 70 cyclist crashed our rest stop. Today was the Low N Slow for me, it was a smidge too slow for my taste but still fun. Tonight the gymkhana starts at 9:00 PM

This was a fun rally.
I did the medium ride out to the Legends, then went to Hamburger Mary's for Drag Queen Bingo. (I was one of the 6 that was given a shot for the month of May birthdays.)

That back alley ride was a lot of fun.

Overall I had a lot of fun and got a new Downtown 300i out of it.

(I'm the one who and to leave the drag bar (Mary's) riding cupcake, since my bike was leaking all over the pavement)

When that critical mass group showed up, I had visions of West Side Story running through my head. I thought we're about to have a bicyclist on scooterist dance rumble thing. So I started snapping my fingers and bobbin my head. Then I looked around and no one else was . Kinda hard to have a choreographed dance routine with only one person.

great pics!!! looked like fun! I'm doing 1 rally this year -- Three Mile Island Scooter Club Meltdown Rally -- http://www.tmisc.org/meltdown.htm

last year I had a Piaggio BV 250 and did their long ride thru Perry County and Blue Mountain; this year I want to do the same ride with my Buddy 125 (there's some confusion since the info page says 150cc's and bigger, but the register & payment area says 125 cc's) and I registered for the long ride; I'm guessing they allow 125's as the borderline minimum as some of the newer ones got some get up & go (Piaggio Typhoon, Yamaha Zuma 125, etc); the great thing is that they ride group style with blockers and a safety guard brings up the rear, so no one gets left behind...

I don't want to do the slow ride since the Buddy's comfort range is 35-40 mph and it is a chore to 'hover' it slower once the cvt is spun up; there might be an informal slower ride coming up this weekend that welcomes mopeds, all scooters, and even small moto's so I might hone my skills a bit in case they don't let my 125 on the big ride...we'll see

Great pictures, looks like fun!

We've got a rally this weekend too, my very first.

Sym, you'll have to give us a review of the Downtown. It's on my short list of scoots I'd get to haul me and the wife around if I had $$.
