We set out @ 10am from one of our local shops, rode to Golden, Colorado. This is one I do fairly often and is really beautiful. From there we headed up to the foothills, much higher in elevation than scooters were probably designed to go. On the way down, we hit some dirt switchbacks that could best be described as 'harrowing' and 'pants-shitting". Then it was high speed twisties through the mountains, which was a little white knuckle but also really fun.
After a wrong turn, the ride ended up on a 55mph highway, which is fine since the 125 buddy was the smallest. we rode fast and hard back into town for cider.
Overall was 103 miles! We did stop for lunch and had opportunity for 2 fuel ups if needed. I left with 3/4 of a tank, topped off @ 1/3 of the way (first fuel stop) and now I have between 1/4 and 1/2 a tank left. Very impressive for a 'little plastic scooter...". In fact, a 125 stock and a 161 were up with our ride leader the whole time, while some of the bigger scoots held back until the highway part, where they just had to show off
