Half Shell
Any recommendations regarding half shell helmets?
We currently have full face modular helmets from when I had a motorbike.
But now I am getting a Stella 4T, they just don't match.

Personally I love my German WWII matte black helmet.

I got some Bobster 2 Bugeye Goggles as well so I look like a total geek, but I think it's awesome!

Riding on two wheels means you take inherent risks just being in traffic. Obviously the OP already has a full face helmet but that doesn't mean they shouldn't get a half helmet.tortoise wrote:NOT very rational reasoning . . example.esa1178 wrote:Any recommendations regarding half shell helmets?

My advice is to never be the first vehicle out in the intersection on a green. There is always some asshat trying to rush the yellow/red. It hurts no matter what helmet you are wearing.tortoise wrote:NOT very rational reasoning . . example.
Regarding helmets, my favorite lately is the Nolan Trilogy (N43). It is a 3/4 helmet with a chin bar. Cooler for summer, but just about as much protection as a FF.

half helmet
I like the outlaw low profile helmets on ebay they dont give you the mushroom head look
Plenty of people wear FF helmets on Stellas; what it looks like would be pretty low on my list of things to consider.
I tried a half-helmet for a little while, but didn't like it (so I don't have one I can recommend). I find a 3/4 more comfortable, since it doesn't put as much pressure on the chin strap to hold it on my head.

I so want one of those. It's the only non-full face I would consider other than maybe a modular.Dooglas wrote:My advice is to never be the first vehicle out in the intersection on a green. I really feel my age when I see 3/4 helmets with brims referred to as 'retro.'
