Snoods are an old world style garment specifically for keeping hair bundled. Just don't be surprised if someone asks if you might be jewish.
Off to research this...

I think I know what it is, trouble is that if it requires piling my hair *inside* the helmet, I'm doubting it'll work. I have a LOT of hair. I tried once and it hurt.

Interesting. Love the idea but what about short/shorter hair? With the heat and humidity take my helmet off and look either like a drowned rat or a fat Phyllis Diller. Or Bill the Cat from Bloomsbury. Yikes.

Placed my order today. Will let you know in a few days!

BTW, their site did say they were working on one for shorter hair.

I anxiously await your review :nerd:

Although I still doubt anyone here is dealing with the hair I deal with :(

i've got short hair and get terrible helmet hair! i thought having long hair would be easier, so i'm in grow-out mode....would like to pony tail it up. my problem is with the bangs....they end up going in every direction that i don't want them to go! and with the recent heat and humidity it's gotten really bad, so i have my baseball hat at the ready when i get done riding. unfortunately, i can't wear a hat to work. i will try a silk scarf tomorrow to see if it helps (or maybe i'll just dunk my head in a drinking fountain when i get there).
And I shall call her "Fiona."

YEAH!! the Diva-Do (feel so silly saying the name) came in the mail Monday! I've used it several times and LOVE IT. Love it so much that I ordered another one for my daughters to use while we ride 2UP.
It was a little tricky to figure out how to put it on, and I do feel silly out in the parking lot putting it on, but I will get over it soon I'm sure.
I wear a full face helmet and the Do comes off when I pull the helmet off and my untangled hair just flows out!! I run a brush over the very few hairs that have moved around and everything looks perfect again. I have hair past my shoulders, use mousse and hairspray to give it some ooomph and I still have the ooomph after the ride. So glad I got it!!

Here is the actual website to order it: http://www.2uptouring.com/Helmet-Liners.aspx[/url]

The struggle.

When I had short (3 in. long) hair I would style it while wet, place some headbands to keep the curls in place, then put a bandana over it and fluff when I got to work.

Now that my hair is longer, the key is to NEVER EVER EVER put the helmet on when it is any kind of wet. I try to only wash my hair on days when I know I wont be riding or can give it a few hours to really dry.

If your have shoulder length hair try wrapping it around your head, and then when you get off just brush it down. (Very helpful with full-face helmets)

Alternative styles:

Pinning hair up with bobby pins
French braids, of course.
Or my personal favorite, a baseball cap with bangs.

If nothing else, I just carry my helmet when Im out and about to let people know that there is a reason for this madness.
