Ok, what i did was I tightened it up and attached the clips to the top of the bolts (little screw thinggys) so this means it's not clipped to the actual posts. I hope this is right! The light is steady red which means its charging.
All of my questions seem so funny! But really though, I have no experience whatsoever wih this kinda thing and I'm kind of a perfectionist when it comes to doing new things right. I don't want to screw anything up! I have never even changed a battery in my car!
