One scooter thief down...

Post by skully93 »

So, not wanting to resurrect the previous thread this was mentioned:

Last week someone broke into the gate where my scoots sit. This was caught on camera and foiled by my neighbor, who owns the property. All that really happened to us is the gate lock is trashed. For now a spare hardened chain secures it.

Apparently one individual is well known to the police. I would post pictures from the setup but according to my contacts at the police department, it can get you in hot water, so I'll refrain.

One of the two thieves was caught and spent the majority of the holiday weekend in jail. I don't get to have all the juicy details but apparently this person is known for this sort of thing, and had other stolen property at his place.

Thanks to the local constabulary for their efforts!

Sweet. I hope they get the other guy too. I don't remember the rest of the story but hope you got your scooter back in one piece.

I hope that thief ends up as somebody's bitch.

Ahh... a story with 1/2 a happy ending. I really love knowing that the low life scum sucking jackal got caught. Being the bit** he is, probably spilled his guts trying to make a deal if it would lead to the arrest of his cohort.

Keep in mind, constantine wire equalizes everything.

I'm glad they caught the person and it's at least on his record, but I feel like that's not enough. Sigh.

This past week or so, we've seen thefts around the downtown/southside area of the city rise. The local shop owner/scooter sheriff/masked superhero ended up helping catch some people after some heroics and hack CSI shit- the details of which I am not privy to, unfortunately. I'm sure it's an awesome story, knowing who was involved. Short story... shit got real and somebody got pinched, but- it's not enough.

We've even had theives robbing conveniences stores on a most likely stolen scoot... sigh
