Fuel gauge not working on buddy 125
Hi has anyone had this problem? It moves a little but goes back to empty when I ride it... Thanx

Sounds like the sender in the fuel tank. The sender has a rheostat assembly which changes resistance dependent on fuel level in the tank. It may need to be pulled out, cleaned up and checked for continuity through the full movement range of the fuel float.

At what point does a hobby become an addiction? I'm uncertain, but after the twelfth scooter, it sorta feels like the latter...

Yeah, it's a bit of a pain to get to. However, I think it's worth having a working gas gauge, especially if you like taking longer rides. The was I see it, I'd rather not have the engine tell me that I'm out of gas.
