Installed NCY Super Transmission kit on 170i

Post by monnoracing »

Pretty Easy Install with the exception of testing different combos. I purchased it from scooter works. The compression spring that comes with the kit was the only thing that I ended up not using. I didnt lose any top speed with the 3g roller drop and it takes off so well now you have to be careful to not flip. Mpg I feel will be less now but with the 30 degree temp drop and enjoyment of the faster scooter I cant say for sure yet. First tank was 69 mpg but I was leaving every light full throttle. If you are looking to purchase this kit I really suggest just buying the ncy clutch and bell only for your 170i.

you might mixnmatch some rollers for better balance so it's not RPM'ing out of it's little mind, and you still retain your top speed (or pretty close).

I went a little light on my Zuma, which ended up accelerating quickly to 30, not going higher, and then the belt shredded. Keep an eye on it.

What were your stock roller weights VS the ones in the kit's weight?
