The last few times I've taken the RH out, have had a bit of a problem.
I normally go in the morning to do my running around, and it's been cold lately (35 to 40 degrees). I let the RH warm up for a few minutes before taking off & don't attempt full throttle for a couple miles or so.
What happens is that there is a severe hesitation/loss of power under steady throttle (the engine just bogs down, have to blip it more gas to keep it going at speed).
After around 15 minutes or so it runs normally.
Never once had this problem when the weather was warmer, either before or after the 200 mile dealer maintenance. Now have 350 miles on the odo.
Should I just accept this as normal behavior for a 2 stroke in cold weather?
I'd hate to mess with the carb adjustment since it runs so great in warmer weather.
Thanks!
Tom

I would like to say that your scooter isn't broken in yet so you shouldn't be doing full throttle anyways, if you have the rough house 50 then you have the same motor as my in my buddy 50. That motor isn't ready for full throttle until about 600 miles according to my manual. Now I let my scooter warm up for a few minutes and it always bogs down when i first get going and it shoots out alot of smoke then it burns off what ever that build up was and then goes fine, mostly. Some days it has no power until it has been driven for a long while. Other days it does fine and has all power from the get go. Yesturday I let it warm up for a while then, while on it's center stand, I gave it full throttle for a few seconds maybe five or six and it blew out smoke like crazy. After I did that the scooter ran really well. Somebody with better experience with scooter mechanics might be able to explain why but you could try that once your broken in. I think it has something to do with the nature of two stoke motors.
