16x13 sliders dilemma (not heavy enough)

Post by spr0k3t »

So I'm running into a bit of a conundrum... I'd like to get some sliders for my RH50 build, but I'm finding noone makes sliders heavy enough for the build. The top end weight is only 9gr. While the 9gr is nice, the scoot tops out pretty quick and I don't get the high rev push. I threw in a 10.5gr combination and it was like the engine woke up. When the revs on the engine hit the perfect rpms for the exhausts expansion chamber to go, it's like someone turned on the turbo... going from 25mph to 50mph in nothing flat (you can feel the front wheel wanting to come off the ground).

So, the tuning is getting close to done (with the limited cdi)... but I'd like a set of sliders. If I can't have sliders, I'd like to find a set of really good weights that won't wear out on me like some of the cheap sets. Any recommendations?

Dave would laugh at me for saying this but..... For tuning you could try filling the inside of the slider with silicone, hot glue , epoxy, or lead.
