Buddy got a big brother

Post by DevoManchild »

Picked up a BV 350 today. Love my Buddy, but my Blue Ridge Parkway trip last month convinced me I needed something a little heftier when I venture outside the Perimeter.

Nice! You're going to love the BV on the open road. Plenty of power and it handles like a charm.

I must preface by saying that I've never been a big fan of the Piaggio BVs, but I have to admit, that's a sharp looking bike! I hope you get many enjoyable miles out of it. :)
At what point does a hobby become an addiction? I'm uncertain, but after the twelfth scooter, it sorta feels like the latter...

Seriously...I've lost count...

Seven mopeds ...that's still manageable...

Me neither, but this is a whole new animal. New transmission, new engine, kick ass performance. The ergonomics are a bit weird for me, but I'm sure I could get used to it.

Sweet new ride! have a ton'o'fun. I recently made the leap from 150cc's to 300cc's and I think I can safely say you are in for a good time.

I agree as far as generalities go, I'm not an aesthetic fan of the big wheel scooters, but this one is pretty as far as they go. It's definitely a different animal for me. I can't throw it around like the Buddy, but it's smooth and powerful and cruises like a dream. Better for hitting the open road with my lady on the back for a day trip to the country or overnight. With both in my fleet i feel like I have my choice of a Miata or a Town Car. :D

I just wonder how that hump on the front of the seat affects your manhood. I have tried all different scoots with the same hump, and every time, my manhood complained....

I do love the colors on it tho - CONGRATS...

I'd like a MB owners review too!

We have a couple local folks with these, and they love them. they say that the bike is nimble enough for in town, but very highway capable as well.

My only reservation has been price, as comparatively I would be able to get a more capable motorcycle. Of course, few would be able to match the MGP and then you have no storage.

The seat is different for sure. It has a bit of a bicycle ergo to it, and the whole thing is definitely more "limiting" in your positioning as compared to the straight bench of a Buddy or standard Vespa/Stella style. My manhood so far hasn't complained, but I haven't been on it for more than a hour at a stretch yet. I'm hoping the more form-fitting seat with the bolster will be better for my back, which is my issue with super-long rides on the Buddy.

I'll be sure to do a proper review with fellow Buddy riders in mind after I get a real sense of things in a few weeks hopefully, if the weather holds out.
