I revisited the PGO website and notice that the BuBu (aka Buddy in the US) has gone the way of the Dodo. It's no longer listed as a product that they offer.
It seems that it has been replaced by something called the Lugero. I was hoping to get a look at the larger picture. It looks similar but the link doesn't work.
Noteable also is the G-MAX 125 and 150 engines come with an EFI option.

It has? Not to argue, but I'm not seeing it. Did you visit the English language version of the PGO site here? The BuBu is all over that site. Again, I'm not trying to argue, I just can't figure out what site you are referencing. Could you provide a URL?pcbikedude wrote:I revisited the PGO website and notice that the BuBu (aka Buddy in the US) has gone the way of the Dodo.

Curious. This website doesn't seem complete. The majority of the links don't work.

I think they're both PGO-made bikes. I'd never noticed that site before. Interestingly, most of the sites that come up on a Google search of "Ligero 125" are in Spanish. I'm guessing here, but it may well be that the Ligero is the European-market name for the BuBu, also known in the USA as the Buddy. I've looked and I can't find a definitive answer. However, to paraphrase Mark Twain, I think that rumors of the Buddy's demise are greatly exaggerated.louie wrote:the ligero is european the bubu is tiwianese. maybe you're looking at a european site?

Yup—all the same scooter!jrsjr wrote:I'm guessing here, but it may well be that the Ligero is the European-market name for the BuBu, also known in the USA as the Buddy.
The site at http://www.pgo-scooter.com/ is for Eurotai, the company that imoprts PGO Scooters for European markets, where, again, the BuBu is known as the Ligero. This is a very popular scoot—I don't think it's going anywhere for a while.
