Replacement Front Wheel

Post by royallthefourth »

I've just got myself a 2006 Buddy 125. Riding a scooter has unsurprisingly turned out to be tons of fun, but this thing needs a little work before it's really in shape to use. The main problem right now is that the front wheel is bent. I see here http://www.scooterloungeonline.com/prod ... nt%20Wheel that I can order a new stock front wheel, but it's $138, which seems kinda ridiculous.

Are there any other wheels people would recommend? I don't really care what they look like as long as it's the same size and mounts the brake rotor and speedometer properly.

I don't think I'd spend much time trying to find another brand of wheel that might fit. If you want to save some money, it probably makes more sense to find someone who is parting out a Buddy. Perhaps CraigsList or a local scooter shop.

I'll second that. Hit up your local shop... sometimes the shops which do repairs will get great deals on totalled vehicles. More often than not they are interested in the combustion and cosmetics. If a totalled scoot has a decent wheel with a few points scuffed but still trued, I'm sure you could get it for cheap.
