Here's an interesting article about making and trialing a home-built vehicle. A lot of the hassles (motor vehicle registration, wind, failure of Chinese-made components, police, traffic, etc) will be very familiar to folks here. You have to admire the fact that he pulled it off.

Interesting (kind of) that he doesn't want to be an electrical engineer like his dad. Smart kid.
