Buddy International Confusion

Post by Elenadc »

Hi! I'm new here and in the process of shopping for my first scooter. I've pretty much decided on a Buddy, and I fell in love with the Saint Tropez International. The Genuine site says they stopped producing the Internationals in 2009, but I've seen a dealer with new 2013s advertised on their site. Is it something that's going to be nearly impossible to find?

Hey Elenadc, at my shop we have the 2-Stroke Genuine 50 "Little International"s in the "Italia" and "Pamplona" edition going for around $2200. I was initially sold on the Pamplona but after some consideration decided to go with the Roughhouse. I can definitely tell you that what the Little's may lake in size they certainly don't lack in style. Happy searching and happy scooting!

We have the St. Tropez 'lil international 50cc and ours was made in 09. There are no newer ones to my knowledge and I would trust Genuine over the dealer...maybe they acquired them in 2013 lol.

Most likely it is New Old Stock. flat squirrel scooters closed a while ago so never know what was in stock at the time.

Good luck finding a St Tropez. I got one by accident. Just how it goes I guess.

The 170i is available in the Italia and Pamplona color schemes, just to add to the confusion, but yes, 2009 was the last production year for the 150 Internationals.

They still make the "Little Internationals" (50cc), so that's probably what the International 2013s you see advertised are.

Genuine's web-site still shows the 170i Internationals in the Pampolina and Itallia....
Confusion expanded......

Seems like that would mean.....confusion over  . (actually those two colors were added to the Buddy 170i line-up on the Genuine website earlier this year)

I've got a couple leads on some used ones, hopefully one will pan out. I've really got my heart set on the St. Tropez color scheme. Thanks for the input!
