Honda Cross Cub -- concept that's going production in Japan

Post by siobhan »

Aww man, I'm in love. Even though I have two CT90s, I'd drop the cash on this. Ruckus meets the Cub.

Very cool looking. I definitely like it.

Similar to the SYM Symba.

The 50cc Roketa MC-112-50 has a front disc brake.

Sure, because the Symba is also based on the design of the Super Cub. But the "concept" model (in yellow) here is taking some design cues from the Ruckus: ditching the leg fairing for a more tubey look.

I like the red one better but prefer the yellow color. Reverse the colors and I like them even more.

I'd like it if it came at or over 250cc and was fully automatic

I know they are more for off road, but they are getting closer to getting it right. Never understood why Honda went the me-too 'retro' bike route with the metropolitan when they have their own rich history. At least they are keeping the semi auto transmission and avoiding the bloat with yet another large engine 'scooter'. Keeping what made the bike great. These do not need 250's. Ruins the whole idea. That and CVT sucks for dual purpose. Sometimes there are no replacements for gears

That'd rock! I've been wanting to pick up an old CT for trail riding. A new one would be even better.
At what point does a hobby become an addiction? I'm uncertain, but after the twelfth scooter, it sorta feels like the latter...

Seriously...I've lost count...

Seven mopeds ...that's still manageable...

CTs have had a surge in popularity (and used prices) here lately. They're becoming popular with the Ruckus customizers! These and the Cubs are their move into "vintage" machines. I've seen some pretty cool ones out there.
