New Scooter Owner with a question
Hi everyone, I'm new here and to the world of scooters so this might be a ridiculously stupid question. I have a new 2010 Lance Cali Classic 50cc scooter and I would really like to get a brighter bulb on my headlight. Is this possible without damaging anything electrical??? Help please. I want to be as safe as possible when out driving

I don't know for sure but it seems very, very likely that this is both possible and perfectly safe if done right. I don't think the electrics would be so sensitive that a brighter bulb would do any harm. People change headlights on motorcycles all the time.Pringles70 wrote:Hi everyone, I'm new here and to the world of scooters so this might be a ridiculously stupid question. If anyone could confirm this, my curiosity is definitely piqued.

The big problem I am having is that the light mine currently gives off is yellowish and doesn't give a clear picture of what is in front of me on the road. It's a 12v 35 watt bulb. I just don't know if it's possible to switch over to say a halogen bulb that will give off a whiter, brighter light with the same wattage.

Depending on the bulb style, the Bullet 35w from ScrappyDog might be an option.Pringles70 wrote:It's a 12v 35 watt bulb.

Do you have a near-by auto store? Take out light bulb, take it to store and see if it has an halogen equivalent, if not, explain to them what you are trying to accomplish and ask what would be needed to do so. In most case's if you have a 35 watt system in place you will need to replace with the same. Many MB'ers have switched out head lights on their Buddies with success, and I am sure some will chime in soon to help you with their personal experience's.
