Buddy stalling when stopped

My Buddy starts right up and runs but stalls every time I have to come to a complete stop. Could this be bad gas in tank? Gummed up carb? I left it with a full tank of gas for several months. I used seafoam when I put in the gas. Could it be the spark plug? Any suggestions?

Sounds like a carb problem. how many miles, what year, cc I am guessing it is the 08, 125. Check the idle circuit if you know what your doing with the carb.

There is an idle speed adjustment screw on the carb that is the same side where the throttle cable is. You may wish to try adjusting that, whic is about the simplest thing you can do, before you mess with anything else. The next thing you may wish to do, is adjust the fuel mixture screw on the opposite bottom of the carb.

These two things impact idle speed. Internet articles are abundant on how to do these.

If those other things turn out okay, it may be the stator.

Well I drained the gas and put in fresh gas with seafoam mixed in. Jumped on the Buddy and after riding a few miles the stalling stopped and she is running smooth as silk. The carb must have been a little gunked up. Some people swear by seafoam. I am now in their camp. Thanks for the replies.

Nice to hear it was a relatively simple fix.
How difficult was it to drain the gas? Did you drain from the carb or a fuel line?

I just syphoned it out with a pump I bought at Harbor Freight

Seafoam is good for that but not the right product for storage. When storing, you want a fuel stabilizer, like Sta-Bil.
