The scoot is 5 weeks old, 1200 miles...
I dropped it off at the shop... So far they've confirmed my findings. They are keeping it at the shop over the weekend to fully check it out. The mechanic said he may need to replace a head gasket, but won't be sure until he takes it apart.
I found the oily streak, coming from up top the engine area down along the plastic inside panel and collecting in the bottom of the engine on the right (sitting on the scooter) side.
It seems to only leak when I ride it. I've cleaned it up when I get home, and checked in the morning and it stayed clean.
Confirmed, head gasket needs to be replaced... Just spoke the mechanic...
He ordered the part... Proly pick it up next Sunday...
To make myself feel better... They are also ordering a Cuppini short windshield
Any ideas what would cause that?
