Buddy air filter from Scooterworks?

Post by k1dude »

I need to buy a bunch of stuff from Scooterworks. I was looking for a replacement air filter for my Buddy 125, and all Scooterworks has are these:

Whatever happened to the ones that came stock with my scooter? Like these:

Also, are these oil filters the slotted or hex-head?

Here's the air filter:

It's hard to say if that's the slot top filter. The slot top is the HiFlow. You can also get these parts from Scooterloungeonline, which is a much nicer and more complete website. The Scooterworks site just sucks. I found the air filter by getting the part number off of Scooterloungeonline and searching scooterworks for it. Scooterloungeonline also clearly states which filter is the non-slot top. I find myself ordering from them more often than not now.

Hmm. Thanks. I wonder why it doesn't show up when I try to filter for a Buddy 125. Maybe it's because they're out of stock. They're out of stock on the belts too. Both are pretty common items. I'm surprised they're out.

Their filter doesn't always work well. When I was looking for the low profile seat, it wouldn't show up for the the Buddy 150 but it would for the Buddy 125. That's part of the reason I had previously asked if the seat would fit an International.

I order the oil filters from Scooterworks all the time and they are always the hex head type. In fact, I just came in from the garage doing my 28K service to update my records. Installed a new hex head oil filter.
I would buy them from my shop but Scooterworks only sends them the slot head type.

Thanks for the info! It's odd about your dealer. Because back when I had a local dealer, they used to carry the hex-head.

Hello BuddyLand:

Instead of using the standard OEM air filter for Buddys and or performance air filters, what do you think about this?

Only replace that rectangular section of the plastic air filter frame with rubber foam, and or filter material like that in your home furnace? Save Money?

Thanks
