67 Cub 50 Value?

Post by troutster52 »

I feel bad because I only really post on the Buddy forum about non-Buddy things. I guess that is because my Buddy runs like a top and there is nothing to talk about.

Anyway, here is my question. I have a craigslist addiction and I stumbled on a 1967 Honda Cub. It looks like it would clean up nice and I can't help but think a carb cleaning and new tire tube would make it run like a top. According to the description, its complete but not running and not titled. What is the value on something like this, in its current condition, and cleaned up?

Value.....thats one of those questions only a prospective buyer could answer.....if someone wants to buy their youth back (the Hey! I had one of those back in school' crowd).....maybe as high as a grand.
However, they were $215.00, 1967 dollars when new (I still have the price tag from mine)
That model BTW is called a C102.....it is electric and kick start.
The other, more common Cub 50 is a C100.
Looks fairly complete in the photo except it is missing its entire chain card.
This was a two piece enclosed housing.

The most important thing the look at is, using a strong flashlight, look into the fuel tank for rust......if it isn't shiney clean metal then getting it back on its tires will be a real problem.....I don't think tanks have been around for years.

Good luck!

Yeah, maybe a Grand, that may be high too?? I have a 1965 C110, regular bike, not a step through... Just saw a really nice one go for about 1500. Really thought they would go for more, but I guess they are just too small for anyone to really care to pay very much.....
2006 Buddy 125 in ORANGE!..Sold
2007 Harley FLHX in Black Cherry!
1999 Saturn SC1...."Marvin"...Still runnin' strong

Cool!
My very first bike was a 1965 C-110!
My very first NEW bike was a 1967 C-110.....which I still own, is flawless, fully pickled, and kept in my family room as a 'Don't touch' showpiece.

Bright red BTW.
