Where do I get my scooter serviced? Burbank CA area

Post by srfslr »

I bought my Kymco Like 200i from Noho Scooters last October. To my surprise, he closed his store shortly thereafter. I have been unable to find someone to work on my scooter. None of the dealers of other brands will touch it. I can't get on the freeway and go any distance on it, I keep to surface streets. I desperately need someone to do the routine maintenance on it. Can anyone direct me to someone in the Burbank?Glendale/North Hollywood area? Thanks for your help!

hey srfslr - give Aaron McDonald a call. he use to be the service guy at NOHO before they closed up shop. I'm sure he can take care of you. I know he was working out his new service shop a couple of weeks ago but he was still taking clients. He picked up my scoot and returned it (Studio City/North Hollywood) for $40 round trip.

I think he is doing everything himself right now so it may take him a day to get back to you.

Julie:

One more question. It was $40 plus the cost of the service, I'm assuming?

The old NoHo mechanics (Greasy and Jano) found a new place and are re-opening their garage on Magnolia just around the corner from the former NoHo scooters location. They should have their doors open in the next week or so.

You can reach them at 818-861-4640.

yes $40 was just for the pickup and drop off. This is a great deal - minimum I could find for a service was $65 one-way.

Yes. That's Aaron (a.k.a. Greasy) and Jano's new shop.
Sorry about the old number if it isn't working. I guess I haven't updated my contacts, but I just spoke to Aaron about their new location yesterday.

For a Like 200, that should be quite normal. I wouldn't expect interstate-power out of anything below 250cc, and the Like is below even 200cc.
