Changing Gear Oil & Engine Oil on a Buddy 170i

Hi! This is my first time posting in this forum and I'm glad to be part of the Modern Buddy community! You guys are awesome.

So I'm about to change the engine oil and gear oil on my Buddy 170i for the first time so I need to be baby stepped through the whole process. So basically my only concern right now is whether the engine oil and gear oil I bought will work on my Buddy 170i.

For the engine oil, I got Royal Purple SAE 15W-40. Here's the link to the exact engine oil I bought.

For the gear oil, I got Lucas Oil SAE 75W-140. Here's the link to the exact gear oil I bought.

On another side note, I'm also replacing the spark plug. the manual says that the 170i needs C7RHSA (NGK) but it almost looks like they doesn't exist. I can only find C7HSA (NGK) spark plugs online and at my local shop. Will a C7HSA (NGK) fit in a Buddy 170i?

You might want to look it up to be sure, but the 'R' designation usually denotes a 'resistor' plug. In the Olden Days, when the Funkopus walked the earth and people listened to AM radio in their car, you needed either resistor plugs or resistor spark plug wires to suppress spark noise (little tiny bolts of lightning) on the dashboard AM radio.

Probably not an issue on your scoot.

Those are great oils to use.

Lot's of debate about oils so be prepared for some possible heated debate.
Some would also say to maybe stick with dino oil for another cycle before switching to synth.

That spark plug converts to NGK part number 4549, which is what most places that sell them go by. Bike shops will sometimes use the CR7SHA, but the stock number is the 4549...Most auto parts places have it, or will get it...Just get a box of 4 it will be less then 10 dollars....most bike shops get 4 or 5 bucks each....so you will basically get 4 for the price of 2.........

Very interesting video but will it apply to the 170i engine. The video is 5 years but it should except for the fuel injection set up. Being no mechanic
myself I realize that my question may be a bit simple.
