Lola,
I've accidentally bumped mine and turned them on before. This may be a dumb question, but do you know how to turn them on and off? It is not the same switch as your turn signals...it's on the right side of your handlebars, and slides on and off, rather than pushing it to stop it.
I remember when I got my first car with remote mirrors, the switch was set to the right, so it would move the right hand one. Well, never having seen a switch like that before, it didn't even occur to me to flip the switch and I could adjust the left one too. I figured it made perfect sense that you could adjust the left one yourself and have the right one adjust remotely. Imagine how silly I felt when I dropped my car off for routine maintenance, then picked it up and when I moved the switch it now adjusted the left mirror! I only mention that, as a way of saying that if you didn't know how to turn the hazard lights on and off, don't feel bad.
Of course, if you know that, and that is not your issue, never mind!
