Arlington, Va.: Free Parking!

Apologies if I am the only one in this area who is slow to catch on, but I just realized that paying $1,25/hr to park on the main roads has been a waste of money.

If you ride a scooter (or motorcycle), you are allowed to park on a residential side street for free. We are exempt from needing a resident permit.

Now that is a nice find. Finding ways to save money these days is an ongoing process, no matter how small the savings.
