drain fuel line on buddy 170i

Post by donec »

How important is it to drain the fuel line on the fuel injected Buddy 170i when it has been setting for about a month? Does anyone really do it?

My dealer told me I did not have to do it. Some larger modles had a drain plunger inside a little hole in the pet carrier, but the 170 does not have it.
Had my 170 stored over three winters, and it has taken right off every year.
When i put it away in the fall, i put in about 2 tablespoons of sea foam, run it for about 3 to4 miles, then top the tank off with premuime gas. No problems!

Well this is just an update. I tried to use the hole in the bottom of the storage under the seat like the manual says to drain the small fuel line to the injectors and found there is nothing there to push to drain the line. So after setting more than a month I started it and the first couple seconds it ran a little rough but then smoothed out and ran great.

Donec: There is no drain on the Buddy 170. Do not go by what is in the book because you will not fint that butten. That was on a different fuel enjection system.
