Can a regular Buddy seat be put on a Blackjack?
I notice the Blackjack has only a single person size seat. Can it be switched out for a regular 2 person seat?

They are all interchangeable: Buddy seat, Black Jack seat, low profile (Psycho) seat.

Ok, now what would happen if you changed out the Performance Muffler that roars and put on a regular Buddy muffler? I know, I know, I'm just not cool enough to be riding a BlackJack, but still...
You can do that also. But know that it's not a "performance" muffler. It just makes more noise and the bracket welds have been known to be....suspect.

I'm not sure that that's entirely true, i.e. that it's not a performance muffler. It is less restrictive, and it weighs less - both of which could be considered "performance" characteristics. It starts to make a lot of difference when you start mod'ing the engine. You might be right that it doesn't change a lot on an otherwise stock set up, although it may make a difference on a 150 where it wouldn't on a 125.KrispyKreme wrote:snoozy wrote:Great!

As you said the welds of the Prima pipe are notoriously.... fickle. As others have experienced, the outside weld on my old Prima pipe broke, and the skin of the canister attached to the inside weld (which didn't break) tore. That said, I really like the tone of the Prima exhaust. I find the NCY exhaust to have too "bright" of a note for my taste, but in every other way the NCY is a better exhaust. I would have replaced the Prima pipe on my Blackjack with another Prima, despite the inevitability of having to replace it again soon, if it wasn't that the Prima pipe also has reduced ground clearance. I scraped the Prima exhaust too many times to be comfortable with it, whereas I haven't scraped the exhaust once since switching to the NCY pipe.

We just picked up a low-mileage 2009 Blackjack with the Prima pipe and despite the fact that we love the sound, it's just too damned loud for a long ride, and most of our rides are pretty long. So we need to replace it with a standard Buddy exhaust.
Question: Does anyone know if the stock 150 exhaust is the same as the stock 125 exhaust? If so, then I can swap it with the exhaust on the 125 that we're going to sell.

Some people are like slinkies. They're not very interesting, but they bring a smile to your face when you push them down the stairs.

The 125 and 150 exhausts are NOT the same. The 150 has a slightly less restrictive exhaust than the 125.jd wrote:Question: Does anyone know if the stock 150 exhaust is the same as the stock 125 exhaust? If so, then I can swap it with the exhaust on the 125 that we're going to sell.
The typical 125 exhaust also has a plastichrome heat shield, whereas the typical 150 exhaust comes with the very plastic black plastic heat shield. The heat shields are not interchangeable without modification.

Follow-up on this.
I swapped the Buddy 125 pipe with the Blackjack 150 Prima pipe. GPS-tested top speed did not change on the Blackjack using the 125 pipe. Wide-open on freeway is 64-66 MPH.
I didn't test the top speed on the 125 with the Prima pipe installed, but it certainly ran fine. Since I'm selling that bike, that's all that matters to me.
