HeadLight Question

Post by Rhuebott5947 »

OK So my B09R has 2 12V 35w/35w bulbs From what I can tell they are an S2 bulb. I've been looking for an LED replacement for them. All I seem to come across are LED replacements for the 1157 type bulb. The contacts and sockets are the same. But is the Brightness? Could I effectively replace them and get better lighting at night?

Had to look up the S2 bulb, it's similar to the BA20D bulb that they used to put in old Vespas and early Stellas.

Try a halogen upgrade, these work pretty well:

I'd suggest a halogen in lieu of a LED for driveability. LEDs do offer a lot of intensity, but their light emissions are less focused in general applications. A decent LED headlamp is still pretty pricey, too. Still, here's an option:

At what point does a hobby become an addiction? I'm uncertain, but after the twelfth scooter, it sorta feels like the latter...

Yea the B35 type of headlight. Is exactly what I have. I'm wanting to go to something Brighter but not drain the Battery, Been looking into HID Kits but not sure they won't over power the electrical system.

Go for the Halonix halogen, you won't regret it for that price. Sorry about the thread confusion, edited after doing more research.

No Problem. I'm just really surprised at how much more time consuming trying to find info is compared to Cars and Motorcycles.

So far the Halonix bulbs are great. The dim setting is only a little better than the ones originally on my scooter but the brights completely outclass the previous bulbs. Never heard of treatland.tv before but it was a good purchase so far.

Treatland is primarily a moped parts place, but they do carry some scooter compatible parts. Really helpful folks who excel at crazy-fast shipping. I hit them up a few times a year for moped projects and I've never been disappointed with their service.

Argh..... One of the bulbs blew out already. Pretty sure that with the weather it was moisture related. So not mad at the product. Surprised at how bright just the one is still
