New Mirrors, Anyone Tried These?

Post by PasadenaSue »

I want to put new mirrors on my Buddy and I found these on ebay:

Anyone have experience with mirrors like these? I think they'll look nice but before I plunk down $40+ I'd at least like to run my idea by the group.

Thanks -

make sure they turn the correct way, buddy mirrors are clockwise (left one) and counter-clockwise (right one).

Those won't work if you want to thread them into the standard holes in the controls perch. (is that the right term?) Those holes are 8mm and opposite threaded like some Yamaha's. If you are installing them into the little flat plate extendo things that come with the windscreen mounting hardware, they should work but you may have to drill out the hole in the flat plate extendo thingy a little to accept the 10mm stud AND buy some 10mm nuts.

You will need a 10mm to 8mm adapter.

Here's my mirror with the 10mm to 8mm adapter...
